Starmobile Knight Elite Review

I am finally done for my first review of a Starmobile device. Here's what I got on the Starmobile Knight Elite

The near stock Android Lollipop was there inside of the device with some pre loaded apps that are quite associated on the SoC and the brand. The processor includes the 1.5 GHz variant of Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa which is a hit and miss on overall performance and battery which I will gonna mention later. Phone calls and texts are quite good as well as the internet.

Out of 16 GB ROM, they provided an ample 10.27 GB of app storage.

At the time of review, I had the Antutu 5.7.1 and it scored a desirable 33,006. The device has 5 point multi touch.

On battery life, I mentioned that it was a hit and miss. On video rundown test, it got a nice 9 hours and 58 minutes with battery saver on out of 2,600 mAh battery. In my test, those phones that will last from 8.5 hours can be with me for a full day but not for this one. I can only managed a max. of  14 hours in 4 hours of screen time.

Both cameras are at 4:3 aspect ratio. There were some discussions that this is one of the brand's best cams in the midrange segment so I took it on low light. The front cam also done a nice job.

Extras: I noticed some bad things on this device like the very tight sim and micro SD tray which might damage any of those things if you will not that careful. In most cases, I really need to put it on a flat surface just for swapping sim cards and micro SD. The double tap to wake and sleep is a failure if you will gonna insert it in your pocket. As expected, I experienced some serious heat issues but I have to blame in the processor. The handset does not come out with LTE only option which is pretty common in local phone counterparts. The file manager is also not that friendly so I advise you to install a good 3rd party competitor.

In my time of review, Starmobile Knight Elite was at Php 9,999 which is not that good for me in terms of my overall experience. Based on what I saw on some Memo Xpress branches, I saw it at Php 6,499 so it can be a considerable device to choose based on the looks and specs. I will gonna give 3.75 out of 5 for the Starmobile Knight Elite.
