Oppo Philippines revealed thru their Facebook that they will gonna have an upcoming event for their Oppo R7 series but no clues yet on the the R7 devices that we will gonna see here in the country.
Until I spotted just one of the mall ads of Oppo R7 Lite and Oppo R7 Plus when I was there at SM Sta. Rosa last Sunday. I checked out the Oppo store at the said mall but no display as of that day of either of 2 featured smartphones.
My fellow tech blogger Gizguide also spotted a Facebook user who posted an R7 Lite sighting in a store and rumored to be priced at Php 13,990
Oppo R7 Lite's global specs has a 5 inch IPS HD AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, 13 MP rear cam, 8 MP front cam, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, has VOOC charging tech, optional dual SIM (SIM 2 as micro SD slot), LTE capable and 2,320 mAh battery.
I wonder if we will gonna these 2 (or more R7 devices) in their media and by-invite only event this September 15.
Update: I saw 3 stores with the Oppo R7 Lite at Php 13,999 price tag recently in Welcomm in Festival Mall Alabang and 2 third-party retailers at Starmall Alabang. One question that stuck in my minds right now is the 1.3 GHz octa-core processor in their display unlike in the 1.5 GHz one that I saw in most of international tech sites. I wonder if this is a typo error or another R7 Lite for PH version just like what happened recently to our version (3G-only) of Oppo Mirror 5. I will got to find out at their launch
